Welcome to Year 2 of the Renewed Mathematics Strategy (RMS). In partnership with district school boards and authorities, and in collaboration with educators’ professional associations, the RMS continues to provide an integrated approach that is responsive to the mathematics learning and teaching experiences of children, students, and educators. We know a lot of great work happened last year and we are excited to continue our partnership with you, through responsive and differentiated support, towards our shared goals of:
- increased student achievement, well-being and engagement in mathematics;
- increased educator math knowledge and pedagogical expertise;
- increased leader use of knowledge of effective mathematics pedagogy to provide the necessary supports and conditions for school and system improvement;
- increased parent engagement in their children’s mathematics learning.
